A radical approach to heal overeating

One of the 6 practices of growing human(kind)ness is acceptance. What do you struggle to accept in your life? What has you feeling, “It shouldn’t be this way?” whether it’s about food, your body, your relationships, or life itself?

Opening to what we resist – what we don’t want to accept – is a path to freedom. And I know, beloved, that this takes incredible courage. Acceptance is not easy, because in acceptance, we grieve what is lost.

As we accept what is, and mourn what we can’t change, we create a space to respond wisely. This leads to peace…and healing. We have greater freedom to open to life instead of simmering in resentment. We move forward instead of staying stuck. We let go of control and we trust.

In surrender, we find power. We find the courage to keep going, to recognize that life, while full of loss, is also full of magic, and mystery.
