When I was a kid, I loved Halloween.
After trick or treating, I would take my pillowcase full of candy and dump it on the living room floor, dividing it into piles (chocolate in one pile, tart candy in another, the candy I hated in another.) Those piles of candy were gone in less than a week – including the candy I didn’t even like.
As an adult, I feared Halloween.
Despite my desire not to eat mounds of candy, I would eventually give in. That Halloween binge would last until Thanksgiving, through Christmas and even New Years. In January I’d vow to get “back on track” while feeling so disappointed and despairing.
Can you relate?
I’ve been reflecting on how we can come together and chart a different course for the holidays this year.
Sometimes what we need is a group space where we’re all showing up together. The energy and shared intention buoys our spirits and helps us move forward.
With that idea in mind, would you like to join me in a group as we do the 30 Day Lift together? You can use The Lift to eat less sugar, eat no sugar, or shift another habit. (For me it’s sleep and evening snacking.)
The details:
* We’ll start Tuesday, the 23rd of October.
* We’ll end the day before Thanksgiving.
* Optional: online forum and private email buddies for support.
* You’ll have two free check in phone calls with me and the group. I’ll lead class phone calls Wednesday, October 31 and Wednesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.
And if you’re really worried about Halloween, please know that you won’t fully go sugar free/or eat less sugar until day 11, which is after Halloween.
To participate, you simply need to purchase The 30 Day Lift. If you want to do this, please reply to this email saying, “Yes, I’m in” and we’ll add you to the group once we confirm your lift purchase.
Let me reassure you: the 30 Day Lift is not a balls to the wall boot camp. It’s a gentle program where your primary objective is to nourish yourself completely. It’s not even about “cutting out” a bad habit – it’s about growing out of it.
You grow out of habits through deep nourishment. Beyond changes with food, imagine 30 days where you feel deeply loved, accepted, appreciated, seen, connected. Where you feel enough. Where you rest in this enoughness.
Beyond creating healthy habits – a foundation that I hope will carry over into the holidays – my hope is for you to feel this enoughness. May it be so.
P.S. – You’re welcome to invite friends to join us – support one another!
